Buyer FAQ

Questions we get before the first order

Short answers to the six things buyers ask most often. Everything else is in the guides above.

What is covered in the QL Bamboo blog?

Eleven sourcing topics and one hundred guides: bamboo skewers, coffee stirrers, cutlery, chopsticks, food picks, toothpicks, incense sticks, ice cream sticks, straws, festive tableware, and the bamboo science behind all of them. Most articles answer a specific buying question — sizing, material grade, food-contact documents, packaging or shipping.

Which bamboo products does QL Bamboo manufacture?

QL produces single-use and reusable bamboo tableware for food service, retail and catering: skewers, coffee stirrers, cutlery, chopsticks, toothpicks, cocktail and food picks, ice cream sticks, drinking straws and incense sticks. Custom sizes, printed wraps and packaging are available from the same factory.

Where is QL Bamboo based and where does the bamboo come from?

The factory is in Nanping, Fujian, China. QL manages 666+ hectares of its own moso bamboo forest in the same region, harvests bamboo older than five years for strength, and runs an 88,600 square metre plant with 138+ automated machines and a 10,000 square metre warehouse.

Which documents should I request before importing bamboo tableware?

Ask for food-contact test reports for the destination market, a declaration of compliance, a material and origin statement, and a fumigation or phytosanitary certificate where your customs authority requires one for plant-based goods. Our guide on bamboo skewer food safety lists the full set and explains what each document proves.

Can I get samples and a quotation before placing a bulk order?

Yes. Send the item, size, packing and target quantity through the contact page and the sales team returns an FOB quotation with a production and loading schedule. Samples are prepared before mass production, and custom tooling or printing is quoted separately.

How often are new buying guides published?

New guides are added throughout the year and organised into the eleven topic groups on this page, so the newest articles always appear first inside each category. Regulation updates, such as the EU packaging rules and Chinese export policy changes, are covered as soon as they are confirmed.

Sourcing bamboo tableware? Start with a sample.

Tell us the product, size, packing and volume. You get a specification sheet, a quotation with lead time, and a sample before anything is mass produced.
